Fits JAPAN BUILT CARS ONLY
All 1999 model ones are built in Japan, 2000 should all be Japan built, 2001 is when the french factory started to build cars, but the new factory did not cope at times so Japan sent some cars over along with Autos, 1.5SR models etc so check your car.
How to identify a Japan 1999 to 2005 car
French built cars have two pumps one black and one red and white pump, Japan cars have one Black with a 3 pin connector
Sticker on windscreen (Drivers side top corner) says JAPAN BUILT
The Vehicle Identification plate will start with JTD (French start with VNK) This number is on the car and on your V5 logbook.
The Washer Pump is located in the bottom of the Washer Bottle this will often be very low down on the car.
Access to the Washer pump may be gained by partly removing the inner wheel arch of bumper trim. The Pump is push fitted into the washer bottle. The washer pipes should be push fitted on, some may have a clip to release them, if push fitted on and they are hard to remove heat them up with a hair dryer and they will come off very easily.
Never let Washer pump run dry as this causes failure, also put more Windscreen washer fluid than is recommended as it is less likely to freeze. Do not put anti-freeze into washer bottle. Always put Windscreen fluid in first then top up with Water.
France did not build 1.3 Automatics, 1.5 SR/T-Sport come from Japan
