One Front Windscreen Washer Pump for:
Ford Cougar 1998 through to 2002
Please note our pump does not have the two 'lumps' on the top side of the connector but does have one on the underside of the connector, this has no bearing on fitting as the connector plug can only be fitted one way round this has been done so it can fit a different vehicle that uses a pump without the two 'lumps'.
Comes with new rubber grommet for washer bottle.
The Washer Pump is located in the bottom of the Washer Bottle this will often be very low down on the car.
Access to the Washer pump may be gained by partly removing the inner wheel arch of bumper trim. The Pump is push fitted into the washer bottle. The washer pipes should be push fitted on, some may have a clip to release them, if push fitted on and they are hard to remove heat them up with a hair dryer and they will come off very easily.
Never let Washer pump run dry as this causes failure, also put more Windscreen washer fluid than is recommended as it is less likely to freeze. Do not put anti-freeze into washer bottle. Always put Windscreen fluid in first then top up with Water.
