Antique/Vintage Mid-20th Century Chinese Junk Made from Teak and Bamboo.

I purchased this Chinese Junk from a retired Navy Captain. He had purchased it in Hong Kong in the early 1950’s. I was a Navy Man too and stationed in Taipei, Taiwan. I saw Junks all the time in the 1970’s so I had to have this and a Dragon Boat that he also had. This is definitely hand crafted teak and veneer as well as shredded bamboo. He used some copper wire to hold the sun top in place and their are at least two pieces missing. The front mast and a rear smaller mast. Otherwise it is in remarkably good condition as you can see. He had kept it in a display case as do I. I have seen these old large Junks from $250.00 to $2,500. I have no real knowledge value other than what I payed and what I see on the internet. It is large 24” long, 8” tall, and approximately 8” wide depending on where you measure.
