This unique metal lathe tool accessory will allow the home shop machinist, model builder, gunsmith, custom Cue maker, (Billiards), etc. to be able to utilize their Dremel®  tool, (or other moto-tool), on their mini metal lathe's 1/4 inch tool holder, (A2Z, Phase II etc.), or  3/8 inch also, using a .125 shim, and be able to precisely control it's movement!

This “offset shank” model is made for the fixed 1/4 inch tool holder where the top of a 1/4 inch shank tool is online with the axis of your lathe!

Made from 1/2 inch high strength aluminum alloy, with a 1/4 inch tall shank and tapped EITHER 3/4 X 12 tpi, 3/4 X 16 tpi or M18 x 1.5mm with counter bore, (check the thread of your moto tool FIRST, then choose your thread in the drop down list). By placing the 1/4 inch shank in your tool holder, you will be able to use your Dremel® tool as a cut-off tool to very precisely cut your bolts, screws to length! Great for the pen turner who wants to trim the brass inner tube or make his own tubes from bulk tubing! Custom cue makers have found this to be a great item! Precise grinding can be achieved by using the many sizes and profiles of grinding stones, discs etc. on the market while in your lathe's compound. Placing off-center holes in your projects while held in your lathe's chuck and using a drill bit in the moto-tool is easier than moving it to the drill press and having to do a set up again!

Most modern, (post 1983), Dremel models have ¾ X 12 tpi !

The only ¾ X 16 tpi models are as follows… 

    Dremel model #’s - #270, 370 & 380 ALL are ¾ X 16 tpi

    Ryobi model HT20vs is also ¾ X 16 tpi

 Black and Decker, Craftsman and Alltrade so far seem to be all ¾ X 12 tpi.

WEN 2305 has metric M18 x 1.5 threads

Use on any lathe capable of using 1/4 inch shank tools.  PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR LATHE WILL ACCEPT YOUR DREMEL OVER THE COMPOUND/CROSS SLIDE WHILE CENTERED IN YOUR TOOLHOLDER before purchasing!
