Installation Steps:
Step 1: Remove the old one and install the new cable bracket and shift lever kit.
NOTE: 1. Shift lever section requires nut to 23 lb-ft. The lever should move smoothly from front to back, with a positive stop for each gear. 2. The cable bracket section requires the fitting to be secured with the bracket as shown in Figure 1.1 and tightened to 12-13 lb-ft. Do not over tighten as this will damage the disc gasket.
Step 2: Route the shifter cable according to Figure 2. Avoid kinks and sharp bends, and keep cables away from hot engine or exhaust components.
Step 3: Put the cable into the bracket, and adjust the two parts marked in Figure 3 to the appropriate position.
Step 4: After adjustment, put the pin in and lock it down.
