Old wooden crate from Funk & Wagnalls Company out of New York. This box was originally used to ship their Literary Digest volumes of books. This crate is EMPTY.
Wood, dovetail construction. Measures about 10.5" across, 8.25" across the shorter side and about 5.5" tall.
One side has "From Funk & Wagnalls Company New York" in faded red paint, the opposite side has the same much is much more faded. End reads " From The Literary Digest New York" with one end more faded than the other.
Some cracking due to age and lidless. See photos of all sides.
