Self made reproduction set of 3 small Red Army model 1936 ration bags.  Three such bags for tea, sugar & salt were issued as part of the marching rations.  It is believed the white bag carried salt, the other two held the tea and sugar.  Made from white cotton calico and green cotton duck, the latter imported from Russia, bags are tied with white cotton tape.  Copied directly from an original in my own collection.  Approximately 7.5 cm x 11.5 cm.

Sale is for one white bag and two green bags, If you require a different combination, please message me to request a custom order.  The tea and sugar bags are stored inside the mug, which itself is stored inside the mess tins, the salt bag is also stored inside the mess tins.

RATION BAGS ARE SUPPLIED EMPTY, CONTENTS SHOWN ARE FOR DEMONSTRATION ONLY.

In situations where being fed by a field kitchen was not possible, two ration types were supplied, dried rations, called "sukhpaek" and/or emergency rations "neprikosnovennyi zapas". This last type was sometimes labelled "NZ", and could only be opened on the commander's orders.   These bags are believed to be for the emergency ration issue.
