RECOVEREZY Kit attaches to most drive on alloy hull boats regardless of the shape and size of the existing holes used for winch cable and safety chain.
Sometimes you may need to drill a new bolt hole or file an existing one to mount the hook plate.
Just keep the hook part of the Recoverezy hook plate, clear of the existing tow plate.
Clamp the sling to the winch post and test it's action by moving the boat back and forward on the trailer.
Once you have the ideal position , mount the sling by drilling the uprights of the winch post and use the adjustment plates if needed. See Photos and fitting instructions shown here.
Launch and Retrieve process:
To launch, remove safety chain from Recoverezy hook plate and wind out winch cable allowing the
boat to slide back and grab the sling. Detach the winch cable. WARNING! Don't loose the boat off the trailer. Best done on the ramp where you don't have to get wet feet.
Hang the safety chain on the middle of the SLING near the hook. Reverse trailer to launch position.
When you drive the boat forward, the weight of the safety chain will cause the sling to drop out of the way.
You can then drive the boat off the trailer.
Note: If there is not enough weight on the safety chain then add some. eg: Sinkers or shackles.
Some people prefer to use a bungee type cord to pull the sling down.
Retrieve process: Leaving the SLING clear of weights, just drive the boat on to the trailer until
it stops at the stop rubber on the trailers winch post. Then back off the power and allow the boat to slide back where the RECOVEREZY HOOK will grab on to the SLING.
SO SIMPLE! No levers, no ropes, no springs. Low cost and reliable. Over 20 years on the market.
Fitting time: The Aluminum hull kit will take an average of 30 minutes to one hour to fit.
Tools required: You will need a 10mm and maybe a 12mm drill, a couple of spanners and a couple of spring clamps.
Components of the kit: All galvanized and Stainless steel components to suit marine environment.
The components have been tested to destruction and are suitable for use on boats up to about 2.5T
excluding trailer weight. IF you use the boat daily for commercial purposes you may consider a
