My mother had Rheumatoid Arthritis in the late 1980's , Dr. Scholl's Footwear customized these shoes for her, to match the disfigurement of her feet. The medium brown leather is an odd shape from a normal shoe. She was about a 10 size foot.
The shoe length is 10 inches, and the width is 4 inches on both shoe. The shoes were worn very little and I doubt if they were worn even less outside, as it was difficult for her to walk, period. The soles are a crepe style.
They are not marked Dr. Scholl or anything else, but that is where they came from. They may have been made by a third party? I do not know.
These will not fit many women, but my feeling is that these would make an interesting store display, for someone in the business.
