SUMMARY:
A very fine quality chrome cased pocket pedometer, made by Henri Chatelain of Paris in ca. 1914.  The movement fully marked and stamped by this maker, and well above average quality with the pedometer weight and arm nicely chromed and detailed.

The pedometer has been serviced and lubed by my watch-maker,  however, please do not expect quartz quality distance measurement with a 110 year item. The pedometer s in very fine condition, and this is a great piece for any serious collector or romantic.

THE DIAL: 100% mint, the white enamel  dial with black Arabic numerals in good order. Dial with a blued steel spade hand. Diameter is 36 mm. The crystal is also in excellent condition. The dial indicates 0-12 to the dial face for yards/

THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with chromed plates and chromed fancy shaped cock. All springs still finely blued and holding the weight and arm under correct tension. The pedometer arm and weight finely engraved, likewise all screwed still finely blued and in good order. The pedometer is in very good working order for its age.

THE CASE: 195% mint, the chromed plated case measures 45  mm outside diameter. The front cover and rear cover both closing tightly to the case. The case with fine and tiny wear marks to chrome finish to the bezels. The top button acts as the resetting point for the hand. This item comes with a new presentation box.
