Offering a vintage press photograph showing Mary Mooney, Mother of Thomas Mooney, at the White House Executive Offices in Washington. Thomas Mooney was convicted of the 1916 San Francisco Preparedness Day bombing but it was later found that testimony and evidence was falsified at trial. He became a famous political prisoner with many efforts to secure his release. Mrs Mooney was in Washington to meet with the Personal Assistant of the President to help secure her son's release. Underwood and Underwood press photograph dated 1932. Great image!

Measures approximately 8" by 10" excluding caption sheet

Condition: This photo has a bend on the lower left corner, smaller bends on all other corners, wrinkling along the upper edge and some additional wear. Caption sheet has a tear on the fold. Pencil notations on the back. Overall a very nice vintage photograph.
