History of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Ellis & Evans, 1883.

This is an excellent book on the history of Lancaster County in Pennsylvania with biographical sketches of pioneers and prominent men. There is a list of all the men and activities that took part in the Revolutionary war and also a list of men and their companies during the civil war, so there is extensive military history in this volume as well as the establishment of the towns, city of Lancaster, and the area. Lots of nice wood cut portraits of the prominent men, and maps of different areas, including a nice foldout map in very nice condition. The book itself is in excellent condition. It has been rebound very nicely by a book binder. The original cover probably deteriorated so whoever owned this lovely reference book had a new cover made for it. Shipping is media rate and I will insure it. My husband used this book for his research on his own book about Pennsylvania and the frontier in the revolutionary war. The book is now no longer needed and should go to the next person in need of all this information. Thanks for looking.
