Karl L. H. Müller (1820-1887)
A pair of lead/zinc busts of Henry Clay and Daniel Webster. We believe their function is to hide a smoking pipe or a single cigar. Busts stand about 5 1/4" tall. Total height (with base) is about 7 1/2". Shipping will be $8.95 to any U.S. zipcode ($38.00 foreign).

We could find only ONE other known example of the Henry Clay bust. It is archived in the New York Historical Society Museum under "Karl Muller". That same bust is doubly archived in The Smithsonian, under "Carl Muller". They don't have the bottom section so; they don't know that theirs is incomplete. We can find no other example of the Daniel Webster bust. This appears to be the ONE & ONLY sample!
