This is a truly GROOVY find! Offering up this
vintage glass that has a chain attached, so it can be worn like a
necklace. It comes in the original box, which reads: "HANG AROUND PARTY
GLASS...DON'T LOOSE YOUR DRINK, WEAR IT!" There is no date on the cup or
box, but this was made in the late 1960's to early 1970's - give or
take. (During the "flower power" / hippie era.) The cup is made of HARD
PLASTIC. The chain is metal. The cup has a sleeve with a round foil
sticker. The sticker has a peace sign and is marked: "PEACE - LOVE."
There is a clear piece of tape attaching the foil sticker to the sleeve.
(I don't know if it originally came like this, or if the sticker came
off and the previous owner used tape to put it back in place.) I THINK
brown sleeve is Naugahyde or some similar material. NOTE: the brown
sleeve tends to slip to the bottom of the glass, but a spot of glue will
hold it in place. The cup measures 5 & 1/2 inches tall. I don't
think this was ever actually used, and it displays like new. The BOX is
in good condition with some scuffs and scattered wear. I searched the
internet and could not find another example; you may never see another!
It is guaranteed to be old & original - made approximately 50 years
ago - or your money back.
