Aus uralter Fertigung und besten schnitthaltigen Sheffield Stahl, Empire made.
Das Messer wurde mal restauriert und hat dunkle echte Hornschalen bekommen, da die originalen kaputt waren. Die Schalen haben ein Loch (neben dem Zwischenstück s. Fotos), und der Mittelsteg ist ein Dummy (Attrappe) :-) warum auch immer, wahrscheinlich waren keine anderen zu Hand. Dennoch ein Spitzenmesser, prima abgezogen und sehr scharf. Der Stolz der ehemalige Sheffielder Schneidewaren- und RasiermesserIndustrie ist auch am Erl verewigt "Made entirely in Sheffield" !
Die Klinge ist wunderschön voll hohl geschliffen mit einen tollen hellen Klang. Sie hat keine Kratzer, lediglich etwas honewear da restauriert, aber nicht der Rede wert. Ich biete es trotzdem als gebraucht an.

Die Klinge hat eine 11/16 Breite (ca.16,5 mm)
Mit besonderen Rücken rund und dennoch flach (schwer zu fotografieren)
Klinge schliesst mittig und fest ohne Probleme. Schalen sind nicht verzogen.
Der Holzblock gehört nicht zum Lieferumfang und dient nur fürs Foto.

We offer this beautiful antique and used straight Razor this time not from Solingen but MADE IN SHEFFIELD by CLEMENTS factory (Empire made). Very good worked blade by old Sheffield master blade smiths.
The scales have been replaced once by real horn scales black in color, cause the original ones were damaged. One scale has a hole (near the pin) for reasons I don't know, probably there were no other scales available at that time. And the middle pin is a dummy :-) But all in all, it makes a very nice appearance.
This is a cute, great and rare razor which you will not come across easily. It has slight hone wear on the spine from restoring, but I would say is in very good state, no scratches or pitting traces on blade.
It was made with pride and "entirely in Sheffield" as you can read on the tang.
