Caption describes how Deane had submitted a proposal to President Franklin Roosevelt for a job insurance plan in which industries would contribute during prosperous times to support workers in times of depression. Deane was President of a General Motors Holding Corporation. Underwood and Underwood press photograph dated 1933. Great image!

Measures approximately 7" by 10" excluding caption sheet. 

Condition: This photo has brown toning throughout and some small bends / wear to several corners, as well as other light wear. Caption sheet has a rough lower edge. Pencil notations and some light staining on the back. Overall, still a very nice vintage photograph.
