After gaining 3 years of experience, numerous tests and feedback from various climbers, Verticals' team decided it was time for some new models of wooden training ice drytools!

This new model is very compact and light. You can just put it in your backpack and go to the gym. The handles are quite comfortable and the pick is еquipped  with a new, extremely resistant rubber which provides for hundreds of movements. And last but not least - this new model is a very cost-effective solution for everyone, who wants to be in shape for the ice climbing season.

Warning:
Wooden tools are intended for indoor use only.
Be sure to be secured with rope when using the tools in the training gym and make sure the tools are attached to the rope. Thus the risk of injuring yourself or someone below you if you drop the tool will be avoided.

You can see how to use the training axes on the link below. Video credits: Dennis van Hoek

Climbing has been my passion for many years. I like to practice it at any season. However, we often appear to be unprepared for ice climbing for the simple reason that training can only be done in winter and on site.
Fortunately, the solution to this problem was found years ago with the creation of wooden ice tool simulators, suitable for year-round indoor training.
This inspired me to combine my love with ice climbing and dry tooling with my other passion – craftsmanship (woodwork). After same tests in my workshop, I came to the creation of optimal wooden tools – closely resembling the shape and function of ice axes - robust, light and ergonomic. The result was exciting not only to me, but to the climbers beside me. And now I am happy to share it with you, too!
