This is a historical postcard mailed just prior to the United States entering WWII and at a time that Adolf Hitler was at the height of his power.

I can not read German, but this must be interesting reading. The postcard was addressed to a family in Frankfurt, Germany, on the Main River.

The obverse features a very  legible and neat cursive handwriting.

On the reverse is a country scenery of a few buildings, possibly a church, many trees, and what appears to be a small castle nestled up on the side of a large mountain.

I found this postcard in a small shop in a town near Hanau, Germany.
