This is a 1979 issue of the Anne Frank stamp by the German Bundepost of the 50th Anniversary of the birthday of Annelies Marie Frank, the German born, Jewish girl who kept a famous diary while in hiding in an Amsterdam attic under Nazi persecution.

This is a RARE, ONE OF A KIND, canceled to order registered First Day Issue envelope dated May 17, 1979.

The envelope is postmarked from Bonn Germany to Frankfurt, which is Main Germany.  The envelope is unsealed. The gum on the envelope is original. Everything is in perfect condition.  There are no blemishes, stains, or deficiencies.  Everything has been preserved to be " like new."

The envelope itself, with five 60 pfennig Anne Frank stamps, is in mint condition. There are no tears, rips, creases, stains, or other deficiencies noted on the envelope or the stamps.

This is the only, one of a kind, Anne Frank 50th Birthday postal stationary cover that I have found to be available in the open web market.  No others may exist.

The person who assembled this unique made to order, first day stationary, recognized the significance of the birthday of Anne Frank and also her birthplace of Frankfurt, Germany.

That being said, this particular mint envelope is probably the only available cover that bears an addressee and also bears the return address of Frankfurt.

This is the first time this is being offered.
