Anlässlich des 75. Todestags von Kostis Palamas hat Griechenland diese 2 Euro-Gedenkmünze in Polierter Platte ausgegeben. Das Motiv zeigt ein Porträt des griechischen Dichters sowie eine Aufschrift zum Ausgabeanlass in griechischer Sprache und das Ausgabejahr. Kostis Palamas (1859-1943) war nicht nur einer der Mitbegründer der sogenannten Neuen Athener Schule, sondern auch der Verfasser des Textes der Olympischen Hymne. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the death of Kostis Palamas, Greece has issued this 2 Euro commemorative coin in proof quality. The motive depicts a portrait of the Greek poet as well as an inscription on the occasion of issue in Greek and the year of issue. Kostis Palamas (1859-1943) was not only one of the co-founders of the so-called New Athenian School, but also the author of the text of the Olympic anthem.
