Description

This is the basic model without lipo battery and wireless MIDI.

It retains the fingering familiar from Steinerphone and Akai EWI, as well as basic playing techniques using touch sensors, octave control, and pitch bend, and incorporates the best aspects of Steinerphone and EWI.

It also offers options such as the Lipo battery option,

The Rotator function allows for a more free and intuitive style of playing.

The Rotator function allows for a playing style similar to Michael Brecker's Voice Rotation. The mouthpiece is equipped with a new lip sensor that can be modulated by touching the sensor with the upper lip while playing.

USB, MIDI, and CV outputs are available from the main unit, making it possible to use a PC sound source, MIDI sound source, or even control a vintage synth that does not have a MIDI input.

Each NuRAD is handmade by Johan Berglund, a Swedish musician and engineer.

NuRAD is equipped with an OLED display with a menu system for setting all the functions of the instrument and adjusting the sensor. In addition to standard DIN MIDI, it also features USB MIDI, function settings that can be stored in non-volatile semiconductor memory, a built-in battery meter, selectable breath curve, and many additional control function options.

A lip sensor for transmitting modulation wheel or foot pedal MIDI CCs (control changes) is also included, as well as additional MIDI rotator functions based on Robby Kilgores MIDI rotator.
