AUXILIARY TERRITORIAL SERVICE; A.T.S Cap Badge
The Auxiliary Territorial Service was set up in 1938 to enable women to take an active part in supporting the British Army dueing WW2. It was disbanded in 1949 or rather taken into the newly formed Womens' Royal Army Corps in 1949.
