Alpaca wool has superior insulating properties due to the structure of their fibres; this means that your feet will be kept nice and warm in the winter but you won't overheat in the summer!

Just like other wool products, alpaca has moisture wicking properties; these socks transport any moisture from your foot to the outside of the sock, keeping your feet dry and comfortable even when your feet are stuck in hiking boots all day.

With a much lower micron than sheep's wool, these socks are also much softer than ordinary wool products and won't irritate your skin. Due to the lack of lanolin in their fleeces, alpacas and their wool are hypoallergenic and will leave you feeling good all around! 

They are machine washable but due to the high wool content, only on a gentle and cool wool cycle and then hang to drip dry. That said, because they don't absorb moisture (and hence odours) from your feet, they need to be washed a lot less than normal cotton socks, making them environmentally friendly; simply airing them out does the job in most cases - even after a sweaty day in the outdoors. Sounds weird? It's true though, just try them out - you will love them!
