They are gold color slightly thin metal buttons with 16 glass rhinestones hand set in the front side amongst a checkerboard or multiple square pattern that is textured into the metal. The back side has a shank for beading or sewing.
These buttons are sturdy yet fairly light weight, so they would not weigh down a blouse or garment as much as an average metal button.
