This is an early hand thrown pottery yellow small crock jar that we show being dug from an 1890 trash pit in one of our "Shovelin Shelley & Digger Dave Beeler" videos...it has no embossing.....Hand thrown on a potter's wheel....only 4"tall x 4 3/8"across rim...yellow slip with a clear glaze....it has 2 big holes in the bottom, a couple shallow chips & a couple small hairlines, but crock displays pretty nice. You can watch me dig this one from the ground in the video..
