Signed Assemblage:

1976 Electronic board - transistors

plus colorful plastic beads attached to

a wooden board with black upholstery

fabric and a simple green frame.


Assemblage is an artistic form or medium usually

created on a defined substrate that consists of

three-dimensional elements projecting out of or

from the substrate.

It is similar to Collage, a two-dimensional medium.

It is part of the Visual Arts  and it typically uses

found objects, but is not limited to these materials.


Dan Ben-Amotz

(Hebrew: דן בן אמוץ‎,  1924 – 1989)

was an Israeli Author, Journalist,

Playwright, Sculptor, Assemblage

and Ready-made Art Maker.

as well as a former Palmach member.

Despite having immigrated from Poland

in 1938, he was often considered the epitome

of the "Sabra", a native born Israeli Jew.


Dan Ben-Amotz lived in Old Jaffa,

sold and exhibited his works at the

"Horace Richter" Gallery that exists

to this day and also sold at his workshop,

which was adjacent to the port wharf.

Condition: Some wear & tear in the fabric

and frame. Some leftovers and stains.

It may have been so originally.
