For sale is "Batman: Gotham by Gaslight - The Deluxe Edition." This influential hardcover graphic novel collects all of the stories from Brian Augustyn's "Gotham By Gaslight" Elseworlds universe. It starts with "Gotham by Gaslight," featuring art from legendary comic book artist Mike Mignola, telling the first Elseworlds story in Batman history - a battle between a Victorian-era Bat-Man and the Butcher of Whitechapel, Jack the Ripper! Then comes the sequel, "Master of the Future." Finally, this book also collects the various other tales in the "Gotham by Gaslight" universe, which have previously remained uncollected elsewhere.
This book remains the only way to experience "Gotham by Gaslight" in hardcover form and also is the only way to get the extra, later stories in collected format, outside of single issues. Due to the pandemic, it received an extremely limited print run and went out of print almost immediately, and so is quite rare incredibly difficult to find.
This book is unread and brand new, with only a small publisher's overstock remainder mark on the bottom edge. It remains in the original sealed plastic, with only the bottom edge opened slightly when the publisher added the mark. Please see the pictures for details. It was stored in a smoke-free, pet-free environment.

SHIPPING and OTHER TERMS
Per Ebay rules, payment is expected within 4 days of the auction end, and I will ship within 3 business days of receiving payment - if payment is received by early evening, usually most items will ship the next business day (including Saturdays). Free shipping will be done via Media Mail in the lower 48 states. Customers from other states (or countries) can inquire for a shipping quote, but it will be more expensive.
If a delivery cannot be made by the post office and the item is automatically returned by mail, I am willing to attempt a second shipment - however, the buyer will have to pay for the actual shipping cost of this second attempt (even if the first delivery was made via a "Free Shipping" option or a combined shipping discount was applied for the initial shipment).
If an item is damaged in transit or does not otherwise match the original item description, I will provide a full refund - customer satisfaction is important to me. However, all items should be returned in the condition in which they were received. For example, if an item is sent sealed in the original shrink-wrap, it should be returned still sealed in the original shrink-wrap (guaranteeing the item was damaged in shipment and not after receipt).
Items returned for reasons other than damage not mentioned in the listing (i.e., mistaken ordering, etc.) must also be sent in the condition in which they were received, and buyers will be assessed a $10 restocking fee per book.
I am only interested in transactions with pleasant buyers who are purchasing and operating on Ebay in good faith. To that end, I will cancel any order from any problematic buyers or buyers with red flags. Red flags include:
- Large amounts of negative feedback from prior transactions
- High-value purchases from a brand new account without a transaction history
- Leaving negative feedback for invalid reasons (such as blaming sellers for USPS shipping delays that are out of their hands)
- Higher-than-average amount of negative feedback left for others
More than 99% of my interactions on Ebay, as both a buyer and a seller, have been positive. If you seem to consistently have problems with other sellers, then the problem probably has less to do with other sellers and more to do with yourself - and out of respect for both your time and mine, I would rather not engage in a transaction that may leave either one of us feeling unhappy.
