This is a RARE 1974 vintage copy of Thor #224 which features Thor's early exploits with guest appearance by Hercules. Here, Thor reveals to Hercules his mortal identity. It's also the 1st meeting and battle between Hercules and the Destroyer. Written by Gerry Conway with art by John Buscema. It's first print and the overall condition is rated Fine/Very Fine. The cover is sharp with off-white pages. It has minimal creases but no tears occurring along the cover edges. Staples are intact and fairly firm. Name stamp on 1st page.
synopsis:
Hercules and Thor have taken Krista to a hospital, and Thor changes to Don Blake. He then reveals to Hercules that he is Thor. On another street in Manhattan, Holmes reactivates the Destroyer, which he discovered in Peru, and begins to go on a rampage, to which Hercules responds. After the operation Thor flies to help Hercules. Thor manages to fight him off while Hercules goes to find the mortal body. After he is gone though, the Destroyer manages to wrench Mjolnir from Thor's grasp, so Thor only has sixty seconds to get it back.
