HERE IS A ORIGINAL CHUCK OF SOUTH DAKOTA BADLANDS SAND CRYSTAL FRESH OUT OF A VERY OLD COLLECTION AS SHOWN . ALL OF OUR ITEMS ARE OLD USED OR VINTAGE AND MAY HAVE WEAR , AGING , AND DENTING SO PLEASE LOOK THE PICS OVER WELL AS THE PICS ARE A MAJOR PART OF THE DESCRIPTION.. 

The Calcite Sand crystals are composed of approximately 60% sand and 40% calcite.  They occur as double terminated, hexagonal scalenohedradon crystals sometimes modified by rhombohedrons.

Note: It has been illegal to collect or sell fossils, artifacts or minerals from the Badlands National Park without a permit from the Oglala Sioux Tribe since 1967. These sand crystals came from an old private collection we purchased.
