This is a real nice antique early steamship souvenir inkwell from the 1890s or early 1900 era with nautical shells decoration.....It has a clear hand blown glass swirled cube inkwell mounted on a base with seashells and sand decoration...large shell has a detailed hand painted steamship with American flag on ocean water....6 1/2"tall x 3 1/2"across shell base....good condition with no chips or damage. Nice original paint has no wear. The glass inkwell has its original brass cover with flip top. I dont know what steamship this was but the inkwell was sold to some passenger as a souvenir. ....We just cant keep everything, so after 50 years of digging and collecting we have decided to part with many of our bottles (to make room for more..haha)...so keep watching our listings as many rare treasures are being found! ....
