Overview
THE CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE, DURING THE CRIMEAN WAR, WAS ONE OF THE BRAVEST, AND SADDEST INCIDENTS IN BRITISH MILITARY HISTORY.
It resulted from an infamous misunderstanding between Lord Raglan and Lucan, and saw Lord Cardigan leading the Light Brigade on an adventure up a valley toward a Russian gun battery. The valley was lined on both sides by Russian guns and soldiers - and the casualties were horrendous. Of the 673 men who began the charge, only 195 were fit for action at its end. Although the charge was successful, not for nothing did Tennyson describe it as "The Valley of Death" in his classic poem.
The Game
The battle simulation recreates the Battle of Balaclava, during which the Charge took place.
The game provides your chance to play all four major sectors of this epic battle - The Thin Red Line, The Charge of The Heavy Brigade, The Charge of The Light Brigade, and The Battle for the Redoubts.
Plan your strategy to use your smaller British, French and Turkish forces to defend against the larger Russian enemy...or play the Russians on the attack!
The System
The Charge of the Light Brigade uses a much-enhanced version of Impressions' highly acclaimed miniature-style system (as used in Rorke's Drift and Cohort).
Extremely popular, the system features beautifully animated figures, and lets you control each army unit (as shown on-screen by a soldier) individually - so you can watch the unit march off to obey your commands!
There are also very powerful group commands, so that you can order groups of soldiers into action at once - for example to send a Regiment of cavalry charging towards the enemy.
The system is very easy to use, being entirely mouse - and icon-control-led, allowing you to enjoy the game without getting bogged down with complex commands.
The syste, has been improved from suggestions received from many happy Cohort and Rorke's Drift users.

As mentioned the game has been tested on either an Amiga 500 or Amiga 1200, depending on which machine the game is for. As much as I love playing these games, and believe me I do lose a lot of time sometimes when testing games, I can only test them up to the point of the gameplay starting. There is no way that I have the time or the ability to play every game through to the end.
With this in mind and due to the medium that they are on I cannot guarantee that the disk will not have any errors further into the game. All of these games are well over 20 years old so there is a chance that a game could fail at some point, regardless of where it was purchased from.
When purchasing this game please keep in mind the model and specifications of your Amiga. If the game was released prior to the release of the Amiga 600 for example then you may face compatibility issues with a game that was made for the Amiga 500. If this is the case you may require a down grader disk like Relokick (I have this for sale in my listings, the link is below).![](https://i.ibb.co/vchgrYN/P1480792.jpg)

If you have any questions in relation to this product and compatibility with your model of Amiga computer then I am happy to answer any questions if I know the answer. I would recommend Google to search for the answer to your question as this is far more knowledgeable than I am and you can bet that someone has already asked the question you have.
