Vintage Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Purple Wrap Dress Wool Blend. This dress is INCREDIBLY flattering - v neck wrap dress that opens completely to hook on rather than putting over the head. Has two hooks and one button at the waist to keep it on, and one at the neck that can be undone for a deeper v neck. Satin lining below the waist. This really snatches in the waist. Solid piece and made of wool blend (72% acrylic and 28% wool), so it keeps in heat but is breathable. Can be dressed up or dressed down. Size 36 but fits a size small AT MAXIMUM - I would personally suggest an extra small. Slightly stretchy when pulled at the bias, but not at the waist. Has “shoulder pads” but they’re really just a thin piece of satin to keep the fabric straight and smooth on the shoulders - does not bulk up the shoulders at all. In fantastic shape - no pulls or damage. Is slightly above the knee at someone who is 5’ 6”. Made in France. 1980s.
