A handcrafted vintage sterling silver amulet pendant in the form of a stylized hand and significant to Islamic, Judaic, and Christian religious cultural communities and known as a "Hamza", "Hamsa", "Hand of Fatma", or "Hand of Fatima". This gorgeous pendant is fashioned of sterling silver and has a round Baltic amber cabochon stone set in a smooth bezel in the center of the palm of the hand. At the end of the three stylized middle fingers of the hand are three small cabochon amethyst stones set in smooth bezels. Twisted wire surrounds the amber and square wire filigree and applied drops decorate the finger fields. There is a large closed fixed bale at the top of the "hand" with a 5 mm opening. Signed on the reverse of the pendant by an unknown artist. This pendant tests as sterling silver. Please see photos.
