This is an early 1810 Federal Period free blown wine or liquor decanter with its scarce original "lollipop" stopper....Free blown, so there are no mold seams...ground/polished pontil bottom...flared ring collar....round with 3 applied "triple"rings around neck....clear....8 3/8"tall...10 1/4"with stopper....Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage. Some very light normal old surface wear, but not bad. A nice clean bottle with no haze. The original ground glass stopper has a couple small shallow chips on edge. Stopper fits snug. This was a popular style of wine or liquor decanter in the Federal Period of the early 1800s. It originally came from an old New England estate ....
