Lot of 5 Antique 1880s Patriotic Flag Wrapped Slate Pencil Pencils, Unused. In excellent condition as seen in photos and described below.
Here’s a lot of five (5) unused antique patriotic slate pencils fresh out an old estate. Due to the influx of migrants in the 1880s, school supplies were used as an opportunity to “Americanize” the masses via application of symbols such as the flag wrappers on these pencils. Interesting American historical items for sure. They vary a little in length, as they are hand sharpened, but are all about 5.5” long.
All five pencils you will receive are free of any damage but may show minor signs of age/soil to the wraps. Final photo shows all 11 lots available… you will get five (5) per lot.
