THE TIGER WHO CAME to TEA - Year 1 Language and Literacy Teaching Pack

This pack, based on a great classic story, provides opportunities for discussion and role-play and teaches sentence construction through writing short narrative accounts, an invitation to a special event and verses for a song to be sung to a familiar tune.

 Pack contains:

THE TIGER WHO CAME TO TEA, Judith Kerr (Pub. Collins) - The doorbell rings just as Sophie and her mummy are sitting down to tea. Who could it possibly be? What they certainly don't expect to see at the door is a big, furry, stripy tiger ( good as new condition).

LESSON PLANS - based on the story, referenced to the  learning objectives for Year 1 from English Curriculum 2014 and with differentiated group activities (new).

SUPPORTING RESOURCE SHEETS – based on the story and relating to the lesson plans (new)
