USS Selfridge; This 381 foot Porter Class destroyer was built in New Jersey

and commissioned in 1936. This active vessel fought in the Pacific Theater of

WW II and earned four WW II battle stars.

The ship was decommissioned on 15 October 1945 and sold

for recycling into scrap metal in 1947.
