Reproduction volunteer shield as worn by Russian volunteers during WW2.

Worn by members of the Russian Liberation Army. Comprised Soviet POWs and Russians who had fled the Soviet Union. The army fought for the liberation of Russia from Soviet control. It fought as part of the Wehrmacht from late 1944 until January 1945 when it declared its autonomy from Germany. The Russian Liberation Army would later fight alongside Czech insurgents against German forces.

Featuring a Red Saltire under the Cyrillic initials of the Russian Liberation Army.
