Description:

A Czech moulded glass charm in the shape of a French Bulldog in blue glass. This piece has a matt frosted finish.

These charms were produced in many workshops in the town of Gablonz from 1890 until the 1930's.

Identifying Marks / Makers Marks: Unmarked.
Age / date of manufacture: Late 19th / early 20th Century.
Size: Measures 2.5cm (1") tall and is approximately 1.5cm (5/8") across the base from front to back.
Condition: In good condition, has a section missing from one side just above the base but this looks like a manufacturing fault not a chip as it has the same frosted surface as the rest if the charm. Has a tiny chip from the top of the left ear, the tops of the ears and the top of the head are quite rough as there is extra glass on the mould line. Has some fine crease lines on the surface of the glass.  Is complete with original metal collar but no glass bead and is missing 1 paste eye.
