USS Dewey; This 341 foot Bagley Class destroyer was built Mare Island Navy Yard

and commissioned in 1937. This vessel fought in the Pacific Theater of

WW II and earned four WW II battle stars.  She was sunk by an enemy submarine on

3 Oct 1943 off New Guinea.
