White French Antique Metis Linen Trousseau Bed Sheet 72” By 124” w/9” Monogram.

Lovely good solid antique white French linen bed sheet with double monogram of 9” to the head of the sheet for a splendid return , stubby crisp linen with white on white hand embroidery in raised satin stitch and decorated in tiny French knots to the centre.

The sheet has a double stitched narrow header and is finished to the foot with a hand stitched turnover hem.

Offered as excellent unused condition, without flaws, no soils or damage, a really lovely textile dated to 1900..

Freshly washed and fully laundered, this was quite grey but it’s come up a sunshine white.
