The US 295th Aviation Company was a helicopter unit that served in the Vietnam War. The unit was nicknamed "Tornado" and was initially formed in 1966 as part of the 1st Aviation Brigade. The 295th Aviation Company flew a variety of missions in support of US and allied forces in Vietnam, including troop transport, resupply, medical evacuation, and combat assault. The unit's helicopters were also used for reconnaissance and surveillance missions, as well as for providing aerial fire support to ground troops.

One of the most notable missions flown by the 295th Aviation Company was the support of the 1st Infantry Division during the Battle of Ap Gu in May 1967. The battle was one of the largest and bloodiest of the war, with heavy casualties on both sides. The 295th Aviation Company played a critical role in supporting the ground troops, providing transportation, resupply, and medical evacuation, and helping to turn the tide of the battle.

The 295th Aviation Company also participated in the Tet Offensive in 1968, flying combat missions in support of ground troops during some of the heaviest fighting of the war. Throughout its time in Vietnam, the 295th Aviation Company suffered significant casualties. More than 40 members of the unit were killed in action, and many more were wounded or went missing in action.
