The C.C. Roberts Mud Puppy was the first tail spinning top water musky lure. Roberts got the idea after seeing a musky chase down a salamander. This phenomenal bait has produced muskies up to 52 pounds. The Super Mud Puppy is 6.75 inches long and has two tail fins. This gives it a large profile with plenty of tail splash. Just like the original baits, this lure is designed to release the lure body if the fish shakes his head during the fight. Once the fish has been safely landed the lure body can be retrieved.
