THE BREECH-LOADING SINGLE-SHOT MATCH RIFLE by Major Ned Roberts and Ken Waters. D.Van Nostrand Compnay 1967. Hard covers bound in green cloth with silver lettering on spine. Illustrated with 65 photographs and drawings. Weighs over 1 kilo. 293 pages. Large format. Shelf wear to the edges of the dust jacket. Internally clean and fresh.

Major Roberts started writing this book as a sequel to his earlier and still popular The Muzzle-Loading Cap Lock Rifle, but was unable to complete it before his death. It lay forgotten until co-author Ken Waters, a collector and shooter of single-shot rifles for more than 25 years, undertook the task of completing and editing the entire volume. Wherever possible, the original text has been left intact, and additional sections were written in the same style to better preserve the unique character of the manuscript.
