The legendary Tiger I first saw service in 1942 in North Africa and at the same time on the Russian Front. With the fearsome 88mm it became a legend amongst the enemy where just about every tank sighted was thought to be a Tiger. The Tiger showed what it was capable of in 1944 in Villers Bocage when a lone Tiger in the hands of Michael Whittman virtually singlehandedly stopped the British 7th Armoured Division in its tracks. 

Kampfgruppe Fehrmann was formed in April 1945 from 6 Tigers and a few Panthers from the Bergen training school and was commanded by Oberleutnant Fehrmann. The vehicles were typically older although had hybride features of both early and late production vehicles. All vehicles were eventually lost in combat or to mechanical failure.
