This is “San Francisco 49ers 1988 Video Yearbook,” a previously-owned video-cassette tape (VHS) in the original cardboard sleeve. Manufactured by Fox Hill Video / NFL Films in 1989, the tape plays beautifully, runs 50 minutes, and has been double-checked.
The San Francisco 49ers entered 1989 facing all the obstacles that defending world champions encounter “the season after.” No team had won back-to-back Super Bowl titles in ten years. Instead of succumbing to pressure, they won more games than any other team in the NFL, then steamrolled their way through the playoffs and their fourth Super Bowl of the decade. "Masters of the Game” features quarterback Joe Montana, receivers Jerry Rice and John Taylor, running backs Roger Craig and Tom Rathman, as well as Ronnie Lott and Charles Haley on defense. In 1989, tthere were 27 teams and then there were the 49ers -- the team of the eighties, a team for the ages, the undisputed "Masters of the Game!”
