We have put together a checklist to make your purchase online as smooth as possible - with stone being a natural product and heavy item, we hope this helps.
✅ Please ensure you order a minimum of 10 to 15% more to cover wastage during the installation process and the few occasional breaks that could occur in transit and installation. This is very normal with natural stone and installation in general. Ensuring your order with enough "wiggle room" will avoid possible delays to your project.
✅ If you have opted for delivery please contact our office first before buying online if you require delivery to one of these postcode areas AB, BT, DD, DG, EH, FK, G, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KA, KW, KY, ML, PA, PH, PO30-41, TD AND ZE. These areas are subject to additional charges that can be between £10 to £100 per crate. If you order a crate(s) without getting in touch to confirm the charge, you can either pay the surcharge required or cancel the order.
✅ Delivery is between Monday to Friday, 8am to 5.30pm and must be signed for.
✅ We will provide the delivery company your number so they can book delivery with you directly, they will typically call you the day after we dispatch your order. It is important we have your correct contact number(s). If you have not been called within 48hrs of your order being dispatched please contact our office so we can assist you. If we are not confident that we have all details for delivery, we will not despatch your order. We will make attempts to contact you by eBay, call and text as required.
✅ Deliveries are made by a 3rd party transport company using a tail-lift and hand-operated pump truck NOT by a vehicle with a crane.
✅ We cannot off-load onto gravel or loose areas, steep slopes or soil areas.
✅ Deliveries can only be to the kerb-side or a driveway if circumstances allow. The lorry is typically 30ft long (approx. size of a large fire engine).
✅ If a delivery is attempted on a date agreed by the customer and delivery cannot be made (for example customer not on site), the delivery company can levy a re-delivery charge and this would be between £60 to £100 per crate. Its important therefore to ensure you are suitably prepared for delivery on that day.
✅ Receiving your order - please sign the paperwork with the phrase "UNCHECKED FOR DAMAGES". We cannot pursue any claims if the paperwork is not marked as such.
✅ Breakages - every effort is taken to ensure the stone arrives undamaged, with it being a natural product breakages can occur and therefore the first 4% or 4 slabs (which ever is the highest) of any damage is not covered. If it is greater than this level please email detailed pictures evidencing the scale of the damage within 48hrs of receipt and will will refund on the meterage.
✅ Replacements are not sent unless the nature of the damage is excessive, typically this would be 30% (i.e. due to crate being dropped, mechanical impact etc.)
