Hello,

This pot was made by Yukizyou Nakano, founder of the famous Gyouzan Kiln in the Tokoname region of Japan. Known as the best modern day living potter, especially for mid size and larger unglazed pots. He's internationally known for his great works and his pots are seen in nearly every kokufu ten album in the past 30 years or more.

This pot, like many of his, have very usable and attractive sizes and shapes.

This is a production line Gyouzan. Great quality and a nice pot. In his 80s now he makes less and less pots each year. One day, they will be really expensive.

-lovely shape with some awesome patina. I’d say it’s 30-40 years old.
