Lowrey Organ Volume (Expression) Pedal Possible Sterling / Patriot replacement

Pictured and offered for your consideration a volume pedal taken from a Lowrey organ we recently recycled for its parts.

 Lowrey has had basically the same mechanical plastic (bakelite) expression pedal for years.

When they built A5500 Sterlings and A5500P Patriots many had problems where the expression pedal breaks and the pedal drops to the floor.

( This could happen on other Lowrey models as well. )

Since Kawai has shuttered the Lowrey Brand the only way to get a replacement pedal is to buy a used one and use it for parts.

If your Sterling has the broken pedal problem and you buy one of these used pedals. You need to swap out the part your foot sits on with the broken one in your organ.

You keep all of the electronics from your organ including the foot switches. You only use the top part.

I have taken a few photos of a pedal taken apart that shows the only parts you replace. (JUST THE TOP) see last photos in this listing.

DO NOT PLUG AN OLD PEDAL DIRECTLY INTO YOUR STERLING OR PATRIOT ... You are buying the whole assembly for its parts.

If you are using these for some other purpose they'll be fine.

Kawai was the parent company of Lowrey from the late 90s.

In 2018 they shuttered the brand rendering Lowrey obsolete.

Kawai has very limited parts (practically none) available and to keep your Lowrey operating you will need to find the necessary parts in the aftermarket.

If you break a tab or a key this is likely the only way you'll find a replacement.
