Lavender Jadeite from Turkey, also known as “turkiyenite,” is a highly uncommon stone that has only gotten harder to come by over the years. What many don’t know about this unusual gemstone is that material from this particular locality contains between 40% to 60% jadeite jade (as opposed to the often less valuable nephrite jade), with the remainder a still unknown combination of quartz, orthoclase feldspar, epidote, and other trace minerals. The material is not dyed, treated, or enhanced in any way.
